my new toy
I am writing this post from my new toy – the Asus eeepc! It is way freakin smaller than i expected it to be. The keyboard actually works quite well, i had no problems getting my passwords typed correctly when logging in. Although as i noticed when starting this post, you have to force yourself to keep your hands in a good typing position and use your fingertips to type with, otherwise it gets messy. Things i like about it – it is amazingly compact and easy to travel with, it has a webcam for skyping, and it is fun! I can even watch all my videos on it! although it is only a 7 inch screen.
Maybe my day pic will be a picture of the eeePc, until then, more playing for me.

The internet we take for granted
I don’t know if anyone else has been following this, but apparently there have been at least two major undersea cables cut that feed the Middle east with internet access. If i recall it started early this past week. Here is some information about it:

How one clumsy ship cut off the web for 75 million people
I am posting this because not is it only a good thing to realize if you don’t know it, but it has a cool picture that shows all the major internet connections around the globe. sweet!
and on a lighter note (perhaps, is extinction ‘lighter’?), the last filmed waving frog: ‘Last wave’ for wild golden frog
