yogurt is odd to think about
So the other day at lunch i was sitting there stareing into the container of yogurt i was eating and i thought to myself, how on earth can i think this is good? i mean, if i take the time to think that ‘hey, a long time ago this used to be good milk. and then after a week or so it would get to a nasty state where i would never think of eating / drinking it. but then someone just decided that hey, if you wait a whole ‘nother month or so we will think it is good again?’
Yeah, this is what i do. so i decided to look into this ‘yogurt’ thing a little. My base knowledge about yogurt is that it is bacteria, blah blah, and that thats what gives it its great flavour. here’s some articles that are rather short yet interesting if you knew as little as me. this dannon page shows some of the common ingredients in yogurt, mainly applicable to dannon but i am sure the basics hold for most yogurts; Dannon.com
And then there is a short explanation of the process of making yogurt; VermontDairy.com so there it is, a little knowledge to round out your week!
Tomorrow is going to be a great day, watching non-stop episodes of “the office” with mel. w00t!
