Paranormality
My mother always talked to me a lot about the sky. She liked to watch the clouds in the day and the stars at night…especially the stars. We would play a game sometimes, a game called “What’s Beyond the Sky?” We would imagine darkness or a blinding light or something else that we didn’t know how to name. But of course, that was just a game. There’s nothing beyond the sky. The sky just is, and it goes on and on, and we play all of our games beneath it.
That was one of the last (the last actually i think) lines from “Taken”, delivered beautifully by Dakota Fanning. I started off my first full night of empty-house (no more mikey bert) by finally sitting down to watch the last episode of that miniseries. and now i am watching a special about the burmuda triangle i downloaded this morning… so far it doesn’t seem to be particularly insightful.
Alien abductions, dissapearances in the burmuda triangle, ghost ships, etc. They all fascinate me. These things are so easy to dismiss as collective fear and belief in something greater than oneself, yet are they? ok, this maybe an asside, but the camerawork in this bermuda special is just obnoxious! i am tempted to stop watching!
I am resolved to make a habbit of going to bed before midnight… starting tomorrow!
