Camp Hill

Is where i live now. It has almost been a full week, but it feels longer. yet i still have stuff laying around on my floor and i haven’t dug my Tax documents out of lord-knows where yet.. uhoh.  It is very cool having my own “house” (renting not owning), but it seems i never run out of things to do between eating, buying things, cleaning things, etc etc. and the stress of crunch time at work on top of it all. here are some highlights.

My laptop and mikes tv dukeing it out in a static electricity war. my laptop won, although casualties were felt on both sides (big static pop blew out his front inputs on his tv and the headphone port on my laptop when we were hooking my laptop up to the tv one night, it sucked).

Networking the whole house. having a basement with open access to the floors above is great for this. especially when there are already holes for the cable to run into the various rooms for tv hookup. i love having a networked home.

Relearning to cook. it feels like its been forever since my lapps family restaurant days. i would include the union, but honestly we didn’t cook there…. that and the wonderfullness of realizing halfway through dinner that i needed milk and didn’t have any, i feel like running out for things last minute will be common for me.

Having friends visit. i has been great having people over already, like mel and megan stopping in on weds before the went to see Donald Miller at messiah, and then my cuz peter and then mel and one of her roomies stopping in again tomorrow! that and it has also been nice having mike to share the house with, even though we have very different work schedules right now.

Knowing that i am going to have one hell of a credit card bill at the end of the month.

Having fish in my house when i moved in. beats rats don’t it?

Returning the the world of the internet on weds, going a while 4.5 days without it was painfull.

Of course there is so much more, but i need to keep the mystery of dah alive!
