kickin out
I am oddly on a classical kick right now. Listening to Mozart’s Requiem. I think i have the simpsons to thank for this
it has been a while since i watched old simps episodes, so i have been watching a few lately, and I have simpsons to thank for the classical kick. that and npr on my drives home from 6 to 7. ah yes life. I have been on yet another kick in the past few days: getting sleep! its crazy but i have been putting some creedance into trying to go to bed before midnight. Not that it seems to make much of a difference for trying to get up in the morning. i woke up my latest ever today: 7:30. actually what happened is this.
I went to bed last night after spending most of the eve at my cousins doin junk and then playing settlers of catan with him and mel. but i digress. so i go to bed, have a whole lot of dreams, which in itself is something i am not used to. i usually get such little sleep that i never remeber dreaming anymore. but the past few days i have been having crazy dreams. like the only part i remember about last nights dreams was something about being on my High school campus, except for it was a college campus. and for some reason i think it was loosely based on messiah’s campus. yeah. and then i think i met a girl, it gets fuzzy. anyway, all this is to say that when i woke up to my alarm at 6:30 i had some weird thoughts going through my mind. wierd enough that i found myself debating whether to use the snooze button on my alarm, or some other feature (don’t know what i thought it was called) that i had set up to wake me up before i had to go to work. being tired and out of it i made the poor decision to turn of the alarm to be rid of the annoying sound, and instead rely on the quieter (but oh so non-existent) feature that would miraculously wake me up at some point latter that morning.
Thankfully i woke up at 7:31. i had enough time to lay there and realize how stupid i was before zipping to the shower. actually i tend to take my time in the morning regardless of if i am late. i value a slow quiet morning. having a 50 min drive to work is nice in that regard.
BOO-YAH. i called a guy about an apartment on fri but he never called me back yet. I think I am gonna call some more places later this week. prolly thurs at the earliest…. gonna be busy with other stuff these next few days…

Tom-Tom
I keep feeling tempted these past few days to buy an iPod. ever since my trip to CA really. It would have paid off so dearly to have one with me on the sleepless flights back especially. But then i figure if i am gonna get an iPod i should really get a video iPod because i would enjoy that so much more. but then i think even further to the fact that the first generation of iPods sucked (battery life etc) and that i should wait until at least the second generation of video iPods come out. maybe they would have even bigger screens by then, or be smaller overall… AND THEN i remember, oh wait. for the price i would pay for a video ipod, i could get a fairly sweet handheld pc that would handle just as many video / song formats + more, and also have a way bigger screen, have more accessories, be usable as a calendar synching device with my work calendar, and also support GPS devices so i can use cool in car map driving systems like Tom-Tom.
And then i realized i shouldn’t spend that much money right now. focus on killing my loans and getting a new car / place to live. those are the biggies right now.

Snow finally
I have made a hypothesis. We get a big snow every 10 years. now i can’t remember what happened in 86, but i do know that this area of the east coast had a big snow back in 96, and now we did again in 06, so i figure that 2 points are enough to get a trendline from. as i make this rash statement i just know that any of my physics/math/anyone teachers i have had are just wincing like fingernails on a chalkboard. but really, wouldn’t it be cool if this happened again in 2016? then i would be like a prophet or something.
Speaking of prophets… um.
So I am going down to DC this weekend to visit megans place. and to hang out with several of my better/best messiah friends. that should be fun. it has been a long time since i have hung out with them. This week will probably be spent continueing to watch winter olympics and working like crazy at work, as well as making sure to pay my bills and figure out travel plans for fri.
The winter olympics are the best by far. I really enjoy things like the mens downhill and the halfpipe. i mention those two because i saw them today. i also think that those too are very funny in comparison. I mean, the downhill is dominated by men in their mid to upper 30s even 40s?, wherease the halfpipe is all ‘boys’ in actuality, yet the call it the (and i quote) “men’s halfpipe”? that little/big voice in my head laughed at that one.

Hey, so i finally got around to posting my pics from cali, after sleeping all day sat becuase of a sleepless flight home, and then going to see “the turn of the screw” at the fulton with my fam. of course you can find them all by going to photos.dahmage.com but i will give you direct links, first to the pics (you can view as slideshow by clicking the slideshow link) Irvine California Pics and then to a pointless vid clip of the beach, Beach Clip which is in my videos gallery of course.
Anyway, i am off to a superbowl party at lindsay’s in lebanon, and i only figured out who was playing last night!! sad huh. I found this comic today in the paper, and i think it sums up what i’ll be doing tonight Grand Avenue.

friday
Hey all, its friday already. that means i am between being checked out of my hotel and being home by 8am on saturday. this week has gone quickly, being in a different place when you are doing the same normal stuff (ie getting up and going to ‘work’ and stuff like that) is much different that when you are vaca’ing. so no i didn’t really see too many places in SoCal, but it was a fun week. it is neat just being in a new place to do all those normal things. tata!
