ahh, yeah life is good whynot

I have finally been making progress on reading more of ‘Blue Like Jazz’ over the past few nights. the downside is i probably shouldn’t have. but since i had monday and tuesday off from work, i could handle the short night last night. The book still strikes me as a good thinking book. sometimes when reading it i can’t help but think that he is an odd person, but still, he covers a lot of ideas and is easy to read. so that has made for some fun nights. its been a long time since i stayed up at night reading books (college didn’t count).

Work is progressing. I feel like i have a lot of things on my plate right now, but they are all things i feel relatively confident about, so that is good right? :) I also have been looking at housing in the mechanicsburg area. even with a realtor and everything! Looking at houses is awesome. I really hope i can swing it somehow, but even if i can’t, hey, i had fun looking and i know where i am at financially and goal-wise.

Oh, and one more thing. i went hog-wild tonight and updated my photogallery. updated as in the opensouce gallery i use (spgm.sourceforge.net) is awesome, and i downloaded the lastest version and some customizations for it, and now that that is all installed i have added features for slideshow mode (its pretty cool!) and video galleries. now i don’t have any videos up yet really, so i threw in some WMV’s of a dvd i was working on converting from a compilation someone did of our Song for the Nations choir tour this summer. so check it out! photos.dahmage.com.

Resolutions and Revolutions

I would like to take part in neither. Its not that i think both are bad, its just that a) making a resolution for new years is just stupid. if you want to change then do it.. and b) i have no tea to throw out.

This weekend has been fun so far, and i am happy to realize it is only sunday night, and i have two more days to do… WHATEVER! with. I spent new years up at mels cabin with several messiah friends. it was a good time all around. and I guess the only running joke regarding that was that it felt so late but was so early.. like it was 5:15 when we, or at least I, thought it should be 11:15. i guess i am not used to being outside away from lights in the winter, only summer… or something. That and I saw King Kong tonight with Mike Bert and Peter Brubaker. I must say it was a really good movie. I keep being shocked. and no two people died the same way! (by the way, that pond in new york must have been frozen solid to support Kong slidding around on it :p)

Hey! i am done sharing my life with you. so yeah, “thank you, come again!”
