I made it to southern Cali

I am very tired right now. I am looking at the clock on my computer and it is telling me it is 8:30, although the clock in my hotel is screaming 5:30 at me. the time difference isn’t really all that much, but the combination of no sleep sunday and traveling all day with the mental exaustion of new place/new things is making me feel like I should either be asleep or jumping up and down. I am that confused. :)

My flights on sunday were fairly uneventful. tried to sleep and did get some hrs in so that was sweet. Landed in Santa Ana and was almost immediately greeted by a phone call from megan and melissa, talk about good timing. from there i found my rental car (talk about a rip-off) and managed to not find my way to my hotel. one phone call later i had better directions and made it, yay! I didn’t feel like doing anything at first, but after relaxing a bit and getting the dirty feel of flying off of me, i felt up to a little exploring and drove down to the shore, about 30 mins drive maybe? I found this cool place, crystal cove state park, or something like that. It was a nice beach, you can see once i post my pics (decided not to bring the cameras usb cable so that won’t happen till sat)

Today was first day of my training classes. It is pretty cool. I feel kinda alone, most other people are in groups from their respective places, and i have no idea what i am gonna do for dinner tonight. its no fun going out to eat if you are the only one! I might have to but some of the other people tomrrow and see if i can crash their dinner plans. i ducked out of the training today a little earlier than most of the others, which i realized was dumb as i drove back to my hotel, since it meant i couldn’t do that bugging today!

Anywho, temp was in the 60s the other day, and nice and sunny. not a whole lot warmer than the weather has been in PA, but still its more awesome!

Oh, and driving here is diff, roads much bigger, for example 7+ lanes going each way, but still the traffic seems almost nicer than pa… odd.

Oh Dah I hope you find some fun people to hand out with and go out to dinner with…but if not I’m still sure you will enjoy the beach and the 7 lane traffic and such. It’s gray and raining here today:(
